A double-edged evening for a good cause. Feelings of urgency and fun are creatively combined to engage guests with WWF-Canada's environmental mission.

In early 2016, WWF-Canada, the nation’s largest international conservation organization, approached Moment Factory to collaborate on their Pandamonium event in Toronto–a flagship annual activity designed to raise awareness and funding for the organization’s efforts to protect species and habitats. The theme of the evening was Doom or Bloom, a title that perfectly captures the blend of urgency and fun that the evening was meant to evoke.

To highlight the choices that individuals must make (between alternative futures) in an era of social media, selfies, global warming and wildlife extinction, Moment Factory proposed a twist on the typical party photobooth. The “Doom or Bloom” booth transported partygoers into two starkly different options for the future.

Not wanting to let the dance floor escape the evening’s double-edged theme, a dramatic, slowly descending beam of light created the illusion that the ceiling was closing-in–as if time was running out. LED screens surrounding the dance floor displayed the party goers photo-booth portraits and reacted to the beam’s slow descent.

Moment Factory is proud to have donated its time and energy to such a worthy cause. Many Moment Factory creatives applied their extensive experience handling tight deadlines to make it happen…and the results speak for themselves!
