This initial phase aims to bring creative and innovative solutions to the Village, while preserving its authenticity and current offering.
Working closely with the project’s multiple stakeholders, Moment Factory drew inspiration from the humour in Québec culture to create colourful characters and surprising scenic design, along with sound and light installations, animated photographs, and playful interactive features. The site’s signage has also been updated to make it easier to explore.
Upon arrival, visitors enter a time machine that transports them to the heart of an 1893 village. There, they will meet lamp-maker Claire Laflamme and her oil lamps, which merrily come to life, photographer Paul Harold and his lifelike portraits, and inventor Léonard Brind’scie, whose eccentric creations fascinate.
The upshot is an innovative experience that makes it possible— almost truly— to step into the history of the site.
