Wonderbox at Paradise City Korea marks the fifth THEA-honoured project that Moment Factory has collaborated on.

Following the recent release of its 2020 THEA Awards case study, Moment Factory congratulates Wonderbox at Paradise City Korea on their THEA Award for Outstanding Achievement – Family Entertainment Center.

Moment Factory is truly honoured to share this latest THEA accolade, marking our fifth project in the past five years to be celebrated by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), an international organization representing the world’s leading creators, developers, designers and producers of places and experiences.

Wonderbox is an immersive multimedia attraction featured inside a high-concept, luxury resort complex located in Incheon, South Korea. This indoor family entertainment theme park features seamlessly integrated multimedia, interactive games, and visuals that transport visitors into an enchanting universe that conjures the magic and marvel of classic carnivals.

We recognize Wonderbox’s award as the result of the creativity and hard work of our esteemed partners, our Theme Parks dedicated team and our colleagues at the Moment Factory Tokyo & Singapore offices, all fuelled by a mission to reinvent the world of themed entertainment and achieve the ultimate guest experience.

2019 THEA Award

Connected Immersion, Digital Overlay

Illuminations: human/nature, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Canada

Initiated by the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, and in close collaboration with artist Sarah Fuller, our team helped ring in Canada’s 150th anniversary with the creation of an immersive, portable multimedia walk across two national parks. Divided into groups, guests were active participants, carrying and operating portable devices including speakers, projectors, and lights.

2018 THEA Award

Immersive Event, Limited Budget

Aura at Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, Canada

The Fabrique de la paroisse Notre-Dame de Montréal commissioned Moment Factory to create a permanent immersive experience featuring sound, light and video, encouraging visitors to discover Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica from an entirely unique perspective. Our challenge was to create a universal show that captivates and inspires visitors of all backgrounds. Moreover, Aura is a show that highlights the Basilica’s artworks and architecture while respecting the religious heritage and daily activities of the church.

2016 THEA Award

Interactive Attraction, Limited Budget

Foresta Lumina, Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook, Canada

Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook commissioned Moment Factory to create Foresta Lumina, our very first night walk, which quickly became a tourist destination. Our creative and technical teams custom-designed the entire forest-based multimedia experience, including lighting units designed to emulate fairies, video mapping on natural elements, and more.

2016 THEA Award

Environmental Media Experience

The Integrated Environmental Media System, Tom Bradley Terminal, LAX

Moment Factory was brought on by the Los Angeles World Airports to take on the role of Executive Multimedia Content Producer for seven experiential media features located inside of their latest terminal, resulting in the largest airport multimedia ecosystem in all of the Americas. Our team worked alongside Marcela Sardi of Sardi Design and Mike Rubin of MRA International, experts in immersive environments and destination development, to re-invent the passenger experience of the terminal by conjuring the romance, magic, and wonder of travel.

Moment Factory would like to thank its clients, partners and collaborators for joining us in creating experiences that spark the imagination and transport guests. We also congratulate our fellow THEA award recipients and nominees for their outstanding achievements.
