Billie Eilish | HIT ME HARD AND SOFT | The Tour
Striking visuals, transformative stage, and immersive lasers evolve with the emotional range of Billie Eilish’s music.
Billie Eilish collaborated with Moment Factory for the creative direction of her Hit Me Hard and Soft world tour, marking a new chapter in the studio’s ongoing partnership with the award-winning global icon. Working closely with Billie, her touring crew, and a network of collaborators, Moment Factory oversaw the production design, content production, and show direction, ensuring every creative element aligned with the artist's vision for the tour, which supports her third studio album.
With a 360-degree stage design, Billie can connect with the crowd from all angles, creating an intimate atmosphere. The stage features an enormous LED video floor, two sunken band pits, eight multimedia towers, a floating platform, a luminescent cube, and massive overhead screens that shape-shift during the show. Supported by extensive automation, the set-up is in constant transformation, with Billie moving freely throughout — at one point even making her way to the far end of the arena for a surprise b-stage moment.
The show leans into a lo-fi aesthetic with pre-rendered visuals that alternate between glitchy and fluid, inspired by themes of water, infinity, and the abyss. Unique camera shots of the performance are artfully incorporated into the content environment, giving fans fresh perspectives and revealing unexpected details. Dynamic lighting, criss-crossing lasers, and special effects extend beyond the stage to add unexpected layers of illusion and theatricality, while heightening the sense of participating in a shared experience.
By synchronizing space, lighting, visuals, scenography, and music into a seamless whole, the concert immerses audiences in a sequence of multisensory worlds that evolve with Billie’s performance of stripped-down ballads and high-energy hits.
