Realizing this epic 25-minute show meant digging deep into our creative toolbox, from paper cut-outs and illustration to matte painting and photorealistic 3D, layered over a green-screen shoot of costumed performers. We shepherded the art direction and production to pay tribute to classic Disney animated characters, effects and aesthetics while creating imagery that worked together harmoniously. With a new technique pioneered by our Research and Development team, we blended pre-rendered video with interactive motion-track technology to show animated characters who seem to respond to live actors in real time.
The result is a profound and dreamlike illusion that invites audiences into the breathtaking worlds of their favourite Disney stories, page after page.
