With the opening of Sakuya Lumina, Moment Factory celebrates the opening of a whole new world, not only for visitors, but also for the Lumina night walk series of experiences.
Drawing inspiration from the local culture of Osaka—its neon colors, humour and vibrance—this Lumina night walk invites visitors to see Osaka Castle Park in a totally new way. Illuminated by the city’s forward thinking and avant garde spirit, Sakuya Lumina transforms Osaka’s most iconic location into a world of wonder unlike anything you could have imagined.
From the very beginning, the creative team sought to create a futuristic journey that would appeal to the City’s wild and creative side. For over a year, our team of artists and digital magicians have been working hard to craft a world full of quirky characters and fun interactive activities that they can finally share! Get ready to follow the wonderful Akiyo and her funny new friends, Balun, Pulpo and Mariposa on their quest to reopen a portal to the future! All it takes is a little joy, and a smile!

At Moment Factory, we would like to celebrate the opening of a whole new world with the opening of Sakuya Lumina. Not only for the visitors, but also for the experience of the Lumina night walk series.
Born from Osaka’s climate, culture, neon colors, humor, and vibrancy, this Lumina Night Walk allows visitors to appreciate Osaka Castle Park in a completely different way. Shining with the city’s progressive thinking and avant-garde attitude, Sakuya Lumina transforms this iconic place in Osaka into a world of unimaginable wonder.
From the beginning of the project, our creative team sought to create a whimsical trip that would appeal enough to the whimsical and creative city of Osaka. Our project team, which consists of artists and staff who use digital magic like magic, has spent more than a year creating a world full of strange characters and fun interactivity, and it is finally open to the public. Join lovely Akiyo and her funny friends Balun, Pulpo, and her Mariposa on an adventure to find their way back to the future! Don’t forget joy and smile!
