MOMENT FACTORY MAKES ITS AUSTRALIAN DEBUT AT ILLUMINATE ADELAIDE

This July, the premiere edition of Iluminate Adelaide will brighten the winter season with art and technology installations across the city centre in a celebration of innovation and creativity. As a featured artist at the new annual event concept, Moment Factory will takeover Adelaide Botanic Gardens with Light Cycles, an outdoor digital art experience.

The 17-day event introduces a new event concept to South Australia and welcomes Moment Factory to the continent for the first time. Grounded in the exploration of the human relationship to nature, Light Cycles leads visitors on a magical nighttime journey through the garden’s lush gateways and luminous canopies. Spanning nearly two kilometres, the immersive experience amplifies nature’s secret rhythms with dynamic soundscapes and video and light projections designed to inspire wonder in the environment.

Drawing earth’s harmonies into light is a theme we have honed through our Lumina Night Walk series and exemplified with North Forest Lights at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. As a continuation of this thematic series, Light Cycles features a curated selection of work from Moment Factory’s repertoire in addition to original creations that were inspired in situ.
