After captivating over two million visitors in Montreal, Paris, and San Francisco, AURA is now presented in Quebec City, inside Saint-Roch, the capital’s largest church. Created and produced by Moment Factory, and presented by Kamaï with the participation of Gestev, this fourth experience expands the acclaimed AURA series.
This iteration is inspired by the neighborhood’s cultural fabric, the harmony between humanity and nature, and the generations of people who have contributed to Saint-Roch’s evolving identity. The creation of each AURA experience reflects the history of its host site.
Here, the evening begins with a nod to the land where Quebec City now stands, honouring the communities who were here before and those who arrived later. This opening sequence, brought to life by immersive storytelling, further echoes Saint-Roch’s renewal and resilience through shifting eras, culminating in its transformation into a cultural hub.
AURA Église Saint-Roch reimagines the monument’s visually rich architecture with sweeping projections, spectacular lighting design, and an original orchestral score that amplifies the emotional power of the space. Earth, water, and sky merge with human stories to create a meaningful moment for visitors of all ages.
As the second AURA experience to introduce an interactive web app, it invites guests to delve into the site’s unique stories and capture a personalized, site-specific AI keepsake to take home.
Guided by a commitment to conservation and innovation, AURA Église Saint-Roch invites visitors to (re)discover the landmark through an immersive retelling of the events that shaped its heritage, and the new stories now unfolding within it.
