Awakening the magic of the Enchanted Storybook Castle at the Grand Opening Ceremony of mainland China’s first Disney park.
In collaboration with Hasbas Entertainment, Moment Factory created an epic projection mapping show to welcome Disney’s most ambitious theme park to date. A carefully choreographed grand opening ceremony featured hundreds of performers, a live orchestra, children’s choir, celebrity vocalists, and a Frozen-inspired performance by China’s piano prodigy Lang Lang. The 25-minute show was broadcast across Asia as it debuted the largest Disney castle in the world.

Working closely with Disney, we brought some of their most iconic animated characters into the show, creating touchstone moments as the castle’s surface metamorphosed between different chapters of Disney history in 3D. Audiences watched as the façade transformed to show Mickey Mouse and friends, the blossoming of Cinderella’s ball, vibrant stained glass inspired by Beauty and the Beast, the seven dwarves unearthing dazzling gems, and ice from Frozen encasing everything in glittering crystals.
