A CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH THE RISING STAR OF RAP
Between emotion and post-futurism, a 360-degree approach to Damso’s cosmic tour.
Since being discovered in 2015, Belgian rapper Damso has seen continual success: three platinum albums, including his latest opus Lithopédion, which went double platinum and took Best Album of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique in 2019.
Determined to make an impression with his 2018 Lithopédion Tour, Damso asked Moment Factory to create its set design, staging, and artistic direction. Our challenge was to find a concept for the set that would be strong enough to mirror the artist’s high standards and distinctive taste, within a very short time frame.
By establishing a relationship of trust with Damso, we were able to work in close collaboration with him to orchestrate the tour’s creative direction. We developed a live show in three acts, evoking the artistic evolution of Damso’s three albums. The set included a large dome composed of 52 video screens that were suspended above the stage and featured animated content. This impressive structure allowed the public to dive into a cosmic journey through the various galaxies that form the artist’s universe.
The Lithopédion Tour was a must-see musical experience, igniting arenas throughout France, Switzerland, and Belgium.
